Testimonials

CSP Acoustics is immensely proud of its longstanding relationships with many of its clients and values their feedback on project performance and outcomes. Only in this way can the company remain responsive to client needs and develop its services to meet future needs. Examples of feedback and testimonials are given below to demonstrate the response of a number of CSPA Clients to the services we have delivered.

"Lee helped us out immensely on this project at extremely short notice giving valuable advice and very promptly. His efforts and quick timescales were hugely appreciated by ourselves and our client."

Blair Smith, Architect

“A brief was provided to allow a quote to be prepared which followed acceptance, the service thereafter was excellent with all deadlines met as promised. It is based on these performances where tight deadlines have to be met to satisfy Planning that we return.”

Sandra Greig, WCP Architects

“CSP Acoustics turned up when they said they would; carried out the works quickly and provided the results immediately after payment. We are extremely happy with the service provided and would have no issue recommending their services to another potential customer.”

Bill Green, Strathmore Homes Ltd.

"Thanks again for undertaking this project; I am gobsmacked at how easy the CSP Acoustics team made the whole process. I will have absolutely no hesitation in recommending CSP Acoustics for any future projects, the service has been exceptional. My operation involved a Noise Impact Assessment on an industrial unit close to housing for planning purposes. The team managed the whole operation from conception to completion in the most professional manner. The planning and timeliness of the actual survey could not have been better. A refreshing change to see a business so knowledgeable on the legislative elements required and so well organised in this day and age. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the organisation to anyone for any future projects and may require to call on their services again.”

Neil Edwards, NEI (Edzell) Ltd.

“CSP Acoustics provided an excellent service on our award winning West Burn Lane project in St Andrews. The consultancy not only resolved the technical acoustic challenges of residential development, but provided critical technical advice on construction at the design stage that resulted in a more cost effective solution. They will be invited to be part of all future projects and I would have no problem in recommending their services."

Mark Wilson, Partner Eastacre Investments LLP

“I have just been informed by the City of Edinburgh planning department that I have been granted planning permissions for 219 Gorgie road. Environmental services gave your report 100% thumbs up. I would like to thank CSP Acoustics for your absolutely brilliant service. I would not have gained this without you guys. You are now officially my new acoustics consultants. I'm over the moon, so, so happy. Thank you all so much."

James Garvie

"CSP Acoustics were brought on board in relation to a potential noise issue with a major development of 600 houses and 25 acres of commercial land adjacent to an MoD firing range, main roads and industrial operations.

The previous consultant, brought on board by the architects, was fairly adamant that some problems were insoluble, after a great deal of money had already been spent on the project.

CSP Acoustics provided solutions including sufficient evidence of firing range noise (identifying the contacts, arranging to carry out testing at the distances necessary) to be able to provide evidence that the noise levels would not prejudice any part of an extensive site, thereby avoiding any expensive attenuation work.

From a client’s perspective, our input was minimal (always a bonus) and the report so comprehensive that it precluded any objection from a particularly rigorous Environmental Health Officer.

CSP is very outcome driven, has very comprehensive understanding of both client and Local Authority officer requirements and makes one of the more obscure planning issues simple for the client and convincing for the Local Authority. I can think of no-one better."

Colin Tawse, Director Goodgrun Ltd.

"We have worked with a number of Acoustics Consultants during our 30 years in practice and found Nick Charlton Smith and CSP Acoustics one of the first practices we will contact to provide noise and acoustic advice. We find their approach friendly, pragmatic and professional, they are capable of working within tight time constraints and budgets and are, indeed, a pleasure to work with."

William Lippe, William Lippe Architects Ltd.
Early Involvement for Effective Acoustics
CPD FOR DESIGNERS AND CLIENTS
Considering Design Acoustics and Noise Control issues early in a project can save time and money and prevent costly remedial work later on. Early involvement can mean that simple strategies can be used to reduce costs, deliver higher performance standards and reduce the need for late stage design changes or pre-completion remedial work. Our ability to talk and discuss acoustical issues, using simple language and showing an understanding of the complex issues that confront other team members, has on numerous occasions enabled us to help achieve solutions that are fully integrated with architectural and servicing designs - so helping clients and design teams secure positive project outcomes in terms of performance, costs and completions.
We have secured
early involvement and
integration into project teams
so that concept decisions can be
influenced in a collaborative
approach to development.
